Up to £40,000 DOE + Company Van

Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm

Are you an experienced Carpenter, Kitchen Fitter or tradesperson looking to step away from the tools whilst still using your practical knowledge and expertise?

Our Woking based client is expanding their specialist fire door division and is looking for a Field Based Fire Door Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a niche and developing industry where your carpentry knowledge will be highly valued.

The role will involve visiting sites across London and surrounding areas to inspect fire door installations, carry out snagging inspections, and ensure all works are completed to the correct standards and regulations.

This is NOT a fitting role. Instead, the company is looking for someone who understands what good installation looks like and can identify issues, recommend solutions, and support quality control across projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inspecting fire door installations on site
• Carrying out pre and post installation checks
• Snagging completed works and identifying remedial requirements
• Ensuring installations comply with fire door regulations
• Advising on parts and fitting requirements
• Working closely with installation teams and internal departments
• Travelling across London and surrounding areas

What We’re Looking For

• Background in carpentry, kitchen fitting, or similar trade
• Good eye for detail and quality workmanship
• Knowledge of fitting and finishing standards
• Ability to confidently identify installation issues
• Full UK driving licence
• Someone looking to move into a more specialist surveying/inspection role

Previous fire door experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided by an experienced team.
