My client, a leading construction firm, is looking for a Payments Manager to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific experience in the construction industry, to oversee and manage all aspects of their payment processes.
Day to day of the role:

Oversee and manage the entire payment process, including vendor payments, subcontractor payments, and employee reimbursements.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payments in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.

Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices.

Monitor cash flow and forecast payment schedules to ensure sufficient funds are available for project needs.

Develop and implement payment policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.

Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Prepare and present regular reports on payment activities and financial status to senior management.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in payment management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payment management, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
