We have recently won a number of prestigious projects in the North West and are looking to hire an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of our growth journey. Along with a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, you will also receive a bonus, car allowance, mileage rate and a succession plan with opportunity to become the company commercial lead.
Pops Facades specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of all types of Curtain walling, Cladding and Glazing systems from unitised to more bespoke complex façade systems.
The Role:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to ensure that all commercial aspects of tendering through to delivery of the projects are properly managed and controlled, and that commercial strategy is developed and delivered in accordance with the objectives of the business. The role is based in our Widnes office and required to visit Customer offices/ projects on site as required.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Tendering and Project Accounting
Full responsibility for the tendering and commercial administration for the Company
Commercial and contractual review of tenders, propose amendments and negotiate to a satisfactory conclusion that mitigates the risks to an acceptable level
Commercial and contract administration of projects
Reporting
Complete monthly review of contract results and performance
Manage costs to complete and CVRs on a on selected projects
Valuation and cash collection
Ensure all monthly claims are submitted on time and credit control
Deal with claims preparation, final account negotiation and settlement
Improvement and governance
Develop the underlying commercial, project accounting and credit control systems.
Continuous improvement
General
Quality assurance, administration and accreditations
Cash Collection/days sales outstanding (DSO), cash in bank
Contract administration/Margin/Management of business risks
Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
Essential
Degree qualified, or equivalent and experienced in a similar role
Customer centric can-do attitude and able to solve problems efficiently
Strong contractual experience with knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines
Desirable
Member of RICS or other relevant professional body, or working towards
