Day-to-day of the role:

Manage purchase and sales ledgers.

Handle VAT and CIS Returns.

Prepare monthly management accounts including journals, accruals, and pre-payments.

Conduct overhead analysis and manage cash-flow.

Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation.

Process payments to suppliers and sub-contractors.
-
Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.

Manage CITB levy returns, directors' loan accounts, and pension management.

Oversee payroll processes.

Support the Managing Director with ad-hoc financial projects.

Manage and support an existing Accounts Assistant.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in day-to-day construction accounts management.

Familiarity with the CIS Scheme and HMRC compliance.

Proficiency in Sage and/or Xero accounting packages.

AAT qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.

Can-do attitude, friendly, approachable, respectful, trustworthy, and able to multitask.

Excellent attention to detail.
