West Midlands - Hybrid / UK-Wide
Salary: c.£70,000 + uncapped commission + benefits

Our client, a leading specialist in passive fire protection, is seeking to appoint a Head of Sales (Passive Fire Protection) following a sustained period of growth and increasing demand across the UK construction sector.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the PFP sales function, leading the commercial strategy and driving revenue growth. This is a pivotal leadership role within a division that has ambitious expansion plans and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality passive fire protection solutions.

Operating in a fast-paced and accountable environment, the business values results, collaboration and long-term client relationships. You will be supported by marketing and operational teams, enabling you to focus on strategic growth, key account development and securing major projects nationwide.

The Role
As Head of Sales , you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the teams sales strategy, identifying new market opportunities and building a high-performing pipeline of work across the UK construction sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the overall sales and business development strategy
  • Leading, mentoring and growing the sales function
  • Identifying and securing profitable projects across the UK
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Establishing and strengthening relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, developers, consultants and public sector clients
  • Working closely with senior leadership to support business growth objectives
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities
  • Driving revenue growth while maintaining profitability targets
  • Supporting bid, tender and framework opportunities where appropriate


The Person
You will likely:

  • Have an established network within the UK construction sector
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth and securing major projects
  • Have experience selling passive fire protection services or related subcontract packages (e.g. drylining, fit-out, fire stopping, M&E or specialist construction services)
  • Possess strong commercial acumen and strategic sales leadership capability
  • Be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from site teams through to board-level decision makers
  • Have experience managing key accounts and complex sales cycles
  • Public sector experience and an understanding of procurement frameworks would be advantageous
