An experienced Finance Business Controller is sought for a leading organisation based in Watford. This role is critical to the financial management of a key regional area within the group, providing comprehensive financial oversight and partnering with operational management to drive sound decision-making and ensure robust financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial activities for the entity, offering valuable insights and support to management and operational teams.

Lead the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Conduct regular forecasting and budget reviews, analysing variances and ensuring financial goals are met.

Ensure the accuracy of the P&L statements and maintain strong financial controls.

Support the implementation of group directives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Maintain the integrity of accounting systems and financial data.

Oversee all aspects of the Balance Sheet.

Collaborate closely with senior management to provide financial advice and strategic insights.
Required Experience and Skills:

Background in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a similar project-based industry.

Demonstrated experience with project or contract-based financial management.

Professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) — fully qualified, near qualification, or actively working towards it.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP.

Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication skills.

Proven ability to produce accurate and reliable financial information.

A valid UK driving licence is required, as the role includes occasional travel.
Benefits:

Salary £55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits package including a car allowance, up to 10% bonus, and private medical cover.
