Maintenance Technician Role - Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for both office-based and hands-on tasks, supporting the smooth running of the building.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain tool shadow boards and daily tool checks.

Answer maintenance phone line and email requests, route calls, and ensure smooth communication.

Provide a welcoming reception to tenants and contractors, including issuing passes and managing access.

Coordinate Health & Safety inductions for contractors, ensuring compliance with site procedures, RAMs, and safety protocols.

Conduct daily building checks to identify and resolve faults in communal areas, M&E systems, and common facilities.

Handle urgent maintenance requests, triage issues, and escalate to the appropriate teams when needed.

Assist with general building maintenance, including minor repairs, cleaning, grounds upkeep, and painting.

Oversee deliveries, manage contractors, and ensure all necessary paperwork (permits, inductions, etc.) is completed.

Perform BMS system adjustments and temperature control as required.

Support the Buildings Manager with routine checks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building operations.

Provide first-line support for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Skills & Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of HVAC and commercial plumbing systems.

Experience with power tools and hand tools.

Ability to manage car park and event-related space allocation.

Prepared to obtain IPATH and PASMA licenses for working at height.
You will be an ambassador for the property, fostering a positive tenant experience and supporting the wider maintenance team to ensure smooth, safe operations.
