The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideally suited to a highly motivated individual at the early stages of their career who is looking to gain structured, hands-on experience in project management within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with experienced project managers and gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including commercial aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects from inception through to completion

Support the preparation of project programmes, schedules, and cost plans

Monitor project progress against timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery

Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, risk registers, and change logs

Attend site visits and project meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions

Support procurement processes and contract administration activities

Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of quotes and tenders
-
Develop a commercially minded approach, supporting cost control and value engineering where appropriate

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards at all stages of the project
Candidate Profile:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential)

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Commercially aware, with an interest in understanding project costs, pricing, and tendering processes

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is advantageous
