A leading multidisciplinary Construction Consultancy has a vacancy for a Senior Clerk of Works with extensive residential projects experience to join their team for a role based in Kent covering projects in the South East.

This position is ideal for a technical specialist with a strong eye for detail, specifically to oversee the construction of multiple residential development projects. You will be joining a consultancy that prides itself on quality and compliance across new build, regeneration, and traditional residential sectors.

This position is urgent; we are seeking someone who can join in the next 1-2 months.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements for the Senior Clerk of Works

Conducting regular site inspections to ensure works align with contract drawings, specifications, and current Building Regulations.

Providing diligent quality control and technical oversight on residential developments, ensuring high standards of workmanship across substructures, framing, finishes, and envelope works.

Identifying, recording, and managing the rectification of defects throughout the construction phases.

Liaising effectively between contractors, developers, and the consultancy team to maintain strict quality control standards.

Producing clear, detailed site inspection reports and maintaining meticulous site diaries for client review.

Ensuring all site operations comply with current health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Clerk of Works, preferably within a construction consultancy environment.

Deep technical knowledge of residential construction methods, building regulations, and quality assurance processes.

Professional Standing: Membership of the ICWCI is highly desirable; however, candidates with significant equivalent site experience and a strong technical background are strongly encouraged to apply.

A proactive approach to Health and Safety and construction quality standards.

Full UK driving license for travel across sites in Kent and the South East.
