Role Overview
A prominent UK construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Employer’s Agent to take lead responsibility for delivering a high-profile portfolio of residential new-build schemes across Kent and the South East.
This position involves acting as the principal client lead—managing full pre- and post-contract services from initial project inception through to practical completion and defect handover. Flexible hybrid working options are available alongside local site visits.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Employers Agent- Kent
Contract Administration: Act as the designated Employer’s Agent, administering JCT Design & Build contracts across multi-unit residential projects.
Pre- & Post-Contract Delivery: Lead procurement, tender evaluations, contract documentation, monthly valuations, change control, and final account settlements.
Client Representation: Drive project delivery, lead client progress meetings, and provide clear commercial and progress reporting.
Quality & Handover Governance: Work alongside site inspection teams to ensure full compliance with Employer’s Requirements, practical completion, and defect resolution.
Candidate Requirements
Residential Expertise: Proven track record delivering complex residential development schemes.
Contract Mastery: Expert knowledge of JCT forms of contract.
Background: Strong background as an Employer’s Agent, Senior QS, or Commercial Lead within a consultancy, developer, or main contractor environment.
Qualifications: MRICS / MCIOB preferred, but extensive hands-on experience is equally valued.
Location: Preference for a candidate based in Kent willingness to visit site locations across Kent and the South East.
