New Entrant Skilled Plant Operative

McGinley is now recruiting for a Skilled Plant Operative Bootcamp programme in partnership with Onpoint Trac, starting in St. Helens, WA11 7JR on the 21st July 2025 . This intensive 4-week course provides a solid foundation for a successful career in Plant operations, offering:
Real Work Placements:
After completing the course, successful candidates will be placed into real work opportunities with McGinley across various London-based projects.
Training Location:
Face-to-face training will primarily be held at Unit Q, Mosspark, Dairy Farm Rd, Rainford, St. Helens, WA11 7JR. There will be a pick up at Kirby train station each morning if you are getting the train in.
Once qualified, you will be deployed across our Ports contract in Liverpool.
Full UK driving licence holders will be prioritised, though this is not essential.
Cost:
The course is
fully funded (worth £4,000)
and
unpaid during training
, but participants are guaranteed a job opportunity upon completion with a starting pay of
£12 to £14 per hour
.
