Are you a Project Manager (or Site Agent) looking to join a major infrastructure project in Cumbria?
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to get involved on a complex self-delivery scheme.
A leading UK civil engineering contractor is seeking a Project Manager with a strong self‑delivery background to take ownership of a major programme of works. This is a business known for delivering complex infrastructure projects through its own directly employed workforce, backed by strong engineering capability, disciplined planning and a culture built around accountability and delivery.
The company is growing fast, securing long‑term frameworks and high‑value civil engineering packages across infrastructure, energy, highways, water and complex structures. They invest heavily in their people, promote from within, and give Project Managers genuine authority to drive delivery rather than simply oversee it. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on contracting environment, understands the realities of site delivery, and brings structure, pace and clarity to multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
You will be the driver of the programme, ensuring works are planned logically, sequenced efficiently and delivered safely and to standard. Working closely with engineers, planners, commercial teams and site delivery leads, you'll maintain programme integrity, manage change, and keep the project aligned to cost, time and quality expectations.
