A globally recognised building consultancy based in Euston are looking for a commercially aware MRICS Associate Director who brings strong experience delivering complex construction schemes in the living sector within a construction consultancy.

The MRICS Associate Director will also be expected to run a growing project management team and provide them with support throughout project lifecycles.

The MRICS Associate Director will be joining an employee first multidisciplinary consultancy that consists of directors, project managers, building surveyors and cost consultants who have built a brilliant reputation for delivering schemes within the living sector with contract values as high as £150m.

The MRICS Associate Director will be delivering schemes which are based in London and surrounding areas.

The MRICS Associate Director role:

The schemes that the MRICS Associate Director will be delivering will vary from the construction of build to rent apartments, purpose-built student accommodation to the refurbishment of later living homes. The MRICS Associate Director will need to be confident at carrying out both pre and post contract duties and a strong ability of leading multidisciplinary teams.

The MRICS Associate Director will be joining an experienced project management team which consists of the project director, 1x associate director, 4x senior project managers and 2x project managers. The Associate Director will also be expected to provide mentorship to the internal commercial managers and building surveyors that are supporting on projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the pre and post contract stage of multiple schemes
• Communicate with different stakeholders, clients and external team members
• Delivering projects across the living sector
• Liaising with junior members of the project management division to keep projects on track
• Reviewing costs regularly to ensure Schemes are within Budget constraints
• Lead meetings with stakeholder and clients
• Ensure all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

The MRICS Associate Director requirements:

• Experience working for a UK construction consultancy
• Knowledge of working within the living sector
• Full Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
• A relevant BSc/MSc in Construction industry would be ideal
• Driving Licence / Car
• Ability to manage Schemes simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
