Track Chargeman/PTS Team Leader

As the PTS Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team on various rail projects, leading by example and ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and project requirements. If you're passionate about rail maintenance and have proven experience in team leadership, this role is a fantastic opportunity to further your career.

This role will be a long term, ongoing position with midweek and weekend work weekly. You will be working in the West London area and must drive.

  • Lead and manage a gang of track workers, providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining high standards of work practices and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Organise and plan daily work activities, materials, and equipment needed to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct track inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Track Chargeman or similar role leading a gang on the track.
  • Track Induction certification is required.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations on the railway.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights as required.
