Operations, Finance, EA Support Manager - Shoreditch - £35,000 - £42,000 DOE
My client, a business rates advisory company are looking for an experienced Operations and EA Support Manager to support the Group Head of Operations and Finance. The role combines bookkeeping, HR & payroll admin, EA, office management, event coordination and stakeholder liaison.
They are part of a group, which also invests and manages commercial property.
Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records.

Manage Xero accounting systems, bank feeds and reconciliations.

Prepare VAT return information and support corporation tax processes.
-
Track debtor/creditor positions and assist with cashflow forecasting.
-
Review supplier invoices, payment runs and expense claims.
-
Maintain financial controls, reporting accuracy and management information.
-
Assist with liaison with accountants on year‑end accounts, statutory filings, etc.
-
Provide proactive support to the CEO and senior leadership team.
-
Coordinate diaries, meetings, calls, presentations and external engagements.
-
Manage availability and scheduling on behalf of directors.
-
Act as a point of contact between executives, clients, suppliers and partners.

Prepare briefing materials, meeting packs and follow up actions.
-
Support confidential correspondence and document handling.
-
Oversee day‑to‑day office operations.
-
Manage office supplies, equipment, facilities and vendor relationships.
-
Coordinate IT onboarding, user provisioning and access permissions.
-
Support cross‑company administrative workflows and operational processes.
-
Track internal requests, chase outstanding actions and maintain documentation.
-
Maintain employee records, contracts, onboarding documentation and compliance files.
-
Coordinate recruitment administration, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
-
Support onboarding processes including equipment provisioning and account setup.
-
Liaise with external HR advisers and payroll providers.
-
Manage pension administration and HMRC‑related tasks where required.

Track annual leave, absence records and HR compliance requirements.

Organise client hospitality events, corporate activities and internal team days.
-
Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, attendee communications and logistics.
-
Coordinate venues, suppliers, catering, budgets and deposits.
-
Oversee internal social events, team‑building activities and employee engagement initiatives.
-
Manage branded merchandise, promotional materials and supplier bookings.
-
Act as the primary operational liaison with accountants, HR advisers, payroll providers, IT suppliers, banks and external consultants.

Manage supplier queries through to resolution and ensure service levels are met.

Obtain quotations, coordinate bookings and monitor invoices and payments.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, vendors and professional advisers.
Skills and Experience Required:

Finance or bookkeeping experience (Xero essential).
-
Office Manager/EA experience required

Working with external professional advisers.

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities across several business entities.

Process improvement mindset.

Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential information.

Salary:
£35,000 - £42,000 DOE
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, flexible working
