An established workplace installation and logistics business is seeking an experienced
Furniture Installation Supervisor
to lead on-site delivery of complex commercial furniture projects.
This role suits a hands-on supervisor with strong technical knowledge of office furniture installations and the ability to manage multiple teams in fast-paced, live working environments. Projects range from corporate office fit-outs to specialist installation works with tight deadlines and high client expectations.
The Role
As Furniture Installation Supervisor, you will take responsibility for overseeing on-site installation activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will lead employed fitters and subcontract installation teams, coordinate daily activities, and act as the on-site point of contact for project stakeholders. This position requires a proactive leader who is comfortable working on complex projects and solving problems as they arise.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise commercial furniture installations on client sites

Manage teams of employed installers and subcontract labour

Oversee complex installations including workstations, trading desks, meeting rooms, acoustic pods, and specialist furniture systems

Coordinate closely with project managers and other trades on site

Ensure installations are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines

Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and site safety

Identify and resolve installation or logistical issues on site

Communicate professionally with clients and site stakeholders
Requirements

Proven experience installing
commercial office furniture systems

Previous experience supervising installation teams on site

Experience managing subcontract installers

Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and floor plans

Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach

Solid understanding of health & safety within construction or fit-out environments

Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card
