Mechanical Contracts Manager – Freelance 6-12 months – Sunderland - £320 per day – Start ASAP

AndersElite are seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager on a freelance basis to work for a key client on a large industrial project in Sunderland, North East England.

This is a freelance / contract position (available late September 2024 onwards) and will offer a pay rate, depending on experience of circa £320 per day. There maybe the possibility of weekend overtime as the project progresses but initially it will be Monday – Friday on site.

Our client is well established in the UK building services market, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving business with a likely future workflow if the initial project is a success.

The first project is based in Sunderland and is a site-based role, five days per week (Mon-Fri), on an industrial refurbishment with some new build elements. It is a project with an overall value of around £40m so candidates should have experience of works of this size.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all elements of the mechanical works, specifically overseeing appointed sub-contractors, progress reporting, ordering materials, programming, coordination and some responsibility for financial controls working to a budget.

It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, but all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience.
