The role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for TWO Gardeners to join their Property Team on a seasonal seven-month basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate. As a gardener you’ll help to maintain and improve gardens and ground across their homes in and around Staffordshire.

Job requirements

• Perform garden maintenance tasks like lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking.

• Other tasks included are gutter cleaning, fence and gate repairs and small-scale home repairs for our residents, and the collection of fly-tipping waste.

• You will need to use powered equipment such as brush cutters, hedge cutters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers.

• Perform landscaping works to help improve their outdoor spaces.

• You may be required to drive company vans and tow trailers to enable delivery of the service.

• Communicate with your line manager with daily phone calls, emails, and regular one-to-one meetings throughout the year.
  

What they’re looking for

• Someone who is experienced and skilled in the delivery of grounds maintenance.

• Ability to carry-out small-scale property repairs.

• A person who can and will work in all weathers.

• Experience and knowledge of safe working practice.

• An understanding of what great customer service is.

• A person with a positive outlook who can solve problems.

• Educated to NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent.

• Willingness to learn new skills and committed to continuous improvement.

• A full UK driving licence.
