Role: Supported Housing Officer
Location: Stockport
Hours: 37.5 per week ( to be worked between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday )
Salary: £24,375 - £26,198

The Housing Management team at a busy Head Office in the center of Stockport is seeking a dedicated team member. This role contributes to the organisation's success through effective tenancy management, income maximisation, and arrears recovery, managing a caseload of tenants in accommodation owned and managed by the organisation.

Responsibilities include providing advice and support to scheme staff to promote positive tenancy sustainment and proactive tenancy management. Duties involve signing up tenants, supporting Housing Benefit applications, issuing warning letters, attending tenancy reviews, and following up on court proceedings when necessary.

The team member ensures all tenants in their caseload receive Housing Benefit where appropriate, that ineligible rent is paid, and that tenancy actions are promptly taken in cases of arrears. They will collaborate with Housing Officers, Welfare Rights Officers, the Finance Department, and Senior Management, including Service Directors.
The role requires regular regional travel.
