SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER | SOUTHAMPTON CIRCA £40k PLUS UP TO £4K BONUS
What’s the deal
We're looking for a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end UK operations for an established global manufacturer of professional-grade power tools. You'll own demand planning, optimise inventory and working capital, lead inbound logistics and strengthen 3PL performance - ensuring product availability supports commercial growth in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment. If turning forecasting chaos into a plan that actually works sounds satisfying, keep reading.
Your mission
• Own the UK demand-planning cycle, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and global supply chain teams to produce accurate forecasts.
• Manage inventory levels to maximise product availability while minimising working capital and excess stock.
• Lead UK inbound logistics, replenishment processes, and safety-stock strategies.
• Manage the third-party warehousing partner, monitoring performance against agreed service and inventory KPIs.
• Reconcile third-party and internal inventory, investigating discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
• Monitor stock daily, identify slow-moving inventory, and provide clear recommendations to management.
• Ensure inventory movements and adjustments are recorded accurately through the inventory-control system.
• Work effectively with freight carriers, importers and international suppliers while supporting compliant UK import and customs processes.
The kind of person we’re looking for
• Proven international supply chain experience within a UK distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory optimisation, inbound logistics and third-party warehousing.
• Experience working with freight carriers, importers, international suppliers, customs requirements, and UK regulatory frameworks.
• An analytical and commercially aware mindset - ideally, you're the person who spots an inventory discrepancy before everyone else has finished opening Excel.
• A calm, solutions-focused communicator who can manage competing priorities and collaborate across departments.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Power tools, construction equipment or hardware-sector experience, plus knowledge of o9 Solutions or Microsoft Navision, would be advantageous.
The Package
• Circa £40k basic salary plus annual KPI bonus of up to £4,000.
• Life insurance at four times salary.
• Company pension scheme and Friends and Family discount scheme.
• Full-time position based in Nursling, Southampton.
