SALARY - £30,000-£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client designs and manufactures specialist solutions for Engineering. They are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team in the Southampton area on a permanent basis.
The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Ideally be experienced in Technical Sales, with knowledge of quotations, technical specifications and orders
Strong understanding of Construction / Engineering Projects and
Ideally have knowledge of pipes, valves, pumps, etc.
HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Engineering or similar
Be keen to develop as part of an organisation long term
Good time management skills
Be self-motivated and driven
Proficient with using Microsoft Office – any CRM database knowledge would be a plus
Excellent communication skills are required
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Sales Engineer role will involve:
Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and produce quotations and orders
Understanding the technical side of how their products are designed and built
Being involved in processing and progressing sales
Reacting to inquiries
Investigating and resolving sales enquiries from both customers and distributors
Offering a proactive Account Management approach for Distributors and updating customers at regular stages
Liaising with different departments and colleagues as required
Having the opportunity to grow with the company long term
