ROLE- BIM Engineer

LOCATION- Southampton

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a BIM Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.

The BIM Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

2 years or more experience in a relevant Design role
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar.
Experience working with piping would be beneficial
Ideally be Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar
Knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient using MS Office
Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

The BIM Engineer role will involve:

Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to develop 3D models for mechanical systems using BIM software
Finalising and signing off existing designs
Coordinating and integrating BIM models with other disciplines to ensure clash-free design and construction
Reviewing mechanical systems designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
Providing technical support and expertise in BIM technology and workflow to project teams
Assisting in the creation and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and libraries for mechanical systems
Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
