Job Purpose
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be delivering planned preventative maintenance on fire/life safety equipment to ensure peace of mind and compliance to our customers. You will also carry out regular servicing, reactive maintenance and commissioning of various fire detection & alarm systems plus other related systems, compliant with British Standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Regular routine servicing, commissioning of various Fire alarm systems, and other Fire/Life safety systems
Undertake reactive call outs for fault finding and the repair of faults
Complete a service report for all service visits to maintain compliance.
To work with and under instruction from your line manager complying with work instructions, company policies and Health and Safety procedures.
Ensure that an accurate and high standard of company documentation is maintained.
Undertake On-Call duties as with your Team (as per rota).
What You'll Bring:
Essential:
Working understanding of relevant British Standards, in particular clauses relating to servicing, maintenance and commissioning
Hold a valid CSCS or ECS card
Full clean UK manual driving licence
Safety focused approach to customers and work colleagues
Collaborative, communicative, and adaptable with a proactive mindset.
Demonstrated competence in operating IT systems, such as handheld tablets and digital communicators
Minimum 3+ years Fire Alarm System experience.
Desirable:
Fire Alarm Manufacturers courses certification including FIA Bs5839 Fundamentals
