Role Overview As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the senior buyer and department manager by:

• Managing purchase orders and keeping track of inventory
• Overseeing an open order book across 200+ suppliers
• Providing administrative support and maintaining ERP systems
• Running MRP to ensure timely deliveries and minimise risks
• Monitoring market trends and vendor performance
• Ensuring compliance with customs regulations for inbound freight

Key Skills and Experience

• Essential :
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent
  • Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
  • Proven ability to manage tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Desirable :
  • Experience in raw material purchasing
  • Familiarity with customs processes
  • CIPS qualification or studying towards it
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing or construction organisation
