About the Company:
My client is a well-established business based in Slough, seeking an experienced
Management Accountant
to join their team and play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the business.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing management accounts, with strong expertise in VAT, P&L, forecasting, and balancing. Experience dealing with
CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
payments would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce accurate and timely
management accounts
.
Manage
VAT returns
and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Oversee
profit and loss (P&L)
accounts, identifying trends and variances.
Develop detailed
forecasts
to support business planning and budgeting.
Ensure accurate
balancing
of accounts and reconciliations.
Process and manage
CIS payments
, ensuring full compliance with HMRC guidelines.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties and projects as needed.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a

role.
Strong understanding of

.
Experience with
CIS payments
would be highly advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications:
AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification (part-qualified or qualified by experience will be considered).
