Hays are working exclusively with a fast-paced business in Shrewsbury who are looking for a Part-time Purchase Ledger/ Sub-Contract Ledger Clerk to join their team in Shrewsbury to cover a maternity leave for a period of 9-12 Months.
Your new role
You will be working within a small and friendly accounts team and taking responsibility for processing the Purchase and Sub-Contract Ledgers.
Duties will include:
Being responsible for managing and maintaining the subcontract ledger, ensuring accurate processing of subcontractor invoices and payments. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, verifying compliance with contractual agreements, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have extensive Purchase Ledger experience and ideally, experience of Sub-Contract ledger within a construction company (ideal but not essential). You should have excellent attention to detail, be used to working to deadlines and be available to start a contract around May/ June (or possibly before if you require it).
Your own transport is also essential due to the location.
