We are recruiting an experienced Transactional Finance Team Leader for a leading UK business with the Head Office based in central Sheffield. This is a newly created role to lead and oversee the group's ledger functions.

The Job:

The Transactional Finance Team Leader is responsible for supporting , managing and developing the ledger team, maintaining financial controls whilst driving process improvements :

• Managing, motivating and developing a team of 5.
• Ensuring the accurate, timely and efficient operation of purchase and sales ledgers and treasury processes.
• Updating and maintaining the cashbooks daily.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with Group policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

The Person:

• Experience of managing a team is essential
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast - paced environment is required.
• The ability to identify and improve processes , focusing on efficiencies is desirable.
• Experience within construction / property is desirable.
