About The Role
Were seeking an experiencedContracts Managerto join our team atCarnelland play a key role in expanding our presence inScotland. Youll lead projects,build strong client relationships, anddrive profitabilitywhile ensuringoperational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to grow market presence and profitability.

Oversee contracts, ensuring delivery meets client specifications, timescales, and SHEQ standards.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, address issues, and identify work-winning opportunities.

Provide monthly reports on workload, client needs, challenges, and potential growth areas.

Plan and programme site works, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and client instructions.
-
Monitor contract performance, including commercial, programming, and resource management aspects.

Ensure all works are carried out safely, minimizing risks to workers, subcontractors, and the public.

Foster strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities to maintain a steady flow of work.

Manage resources effectively, including personnel, plant, and vehicles, to optimize efficiency.

Organize and deliver pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for your team.

Conduct performance reviews and appraisals for Contract Managers, Supervisors, and Foremen.

Support the SHEQ department in managing training requirements and compliance.
What Youll Bring
-
Proven contracts management experience in construction.
-
Strong understanding of highways drainage and specifications (CS 551, CD 535, MCHW, etc.).

A degree or equivalent (HND/HNC) in construction management or project management
-
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
-
CSCS card (preferably managers)
-
Knowledge of health & safety legislation and business strategy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid UK driving license.
