Stock Controller

• Annual Salary: dependent upon experience
• Location: Roxton, Bedfordshire, MK44
• Job Type: Temporary, potentially permanent for the right candidate
• Working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm

We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our family-run business, supplying construction equipment. This role offers a dynamic working environment within a multi-functional team, where multiple projects run concurrently. The position is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent following a successful probationary period.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage Goods In/Goods Out processes.
• Operate the forklift and control the distribution of stock within the stores department.
• Issue and allocate parts to various projects.
• Maintain accurate records by booking goods inward on the SAGE system.
• Conduct stock inventory control and ensure efficient stock management.
• Assist in picking, packing, and assembling kits.
• Support the Accounts and Service departments with parts enquiries, customer quotes, and orders.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and handle weekly orders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a store's environment.
• Ability to recognise mechanical and electrical components.
• Clean driving license and computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with Sage 200 is desirable but not essential.
• Current Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
• Forward-thinking with a methodical and thorough approach to work
