Quality Inspection Team Leader
. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take on a leadership role in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
This company provides services to OEMs across industries such as defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling, and rail, with in-house capabilities including laser cutting, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, shot blasting, painting, and assembly.
About the Role:
Lead the Quality Inspection team, ensuring a productive and efficient working environment.
Act as the point of contact for any queries or concerns related to inspection.
Follow the Inspection Plan set by the Quality Manager and ensure the team adheres to it.
Conduct inspections using available equipment and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Create inspection reports for all components and fabrications.
Collaborate with the Quality Engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality standards.
Perform monthly internal calibration of measurement equipment and maintain calibration records.
Provide guidance and support to team members, training and mentoring them to enhance their skills and knowledge.
About You:
Proven experience in quality/inspection within a metal engineering manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
Measuring Arms (Faro or similar)
CMM
General handheld tools (Vernier, Tape, Rule, Bevel Box, etc.)
Experience in leading, training, and mentoring a team of inspectors.
Excellent understanding of quality control processes and problem-solving techniques.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements while maintaining focus on quality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading and supporting team members.
A proactive, hands-on approach to ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
