The Job You’ll Do:

The Planned Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment through meticulous planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities.

This role will involve conducting regular inspections, implementing preventative maintenance schedules, and addressing any issues proactively to ensure customer satisfaction.

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.

Carry out scheduled servicing of plant machinery at customer sites.

Document inspection findings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Perform regular safety checks on maintenance equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and safe to use.

Ensure machines are maintained per guidance in the operator’s manual.
-
Assure that all work is carried out to the highest standard within designated timeframes.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
-
Promote safe work practices and behaviours among team members, emphasizing the importance of following established safety procedures, using equipment properly, and communicating hazards or concerns.

Promote the use of PPE among team members.
-
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections and repairs.
-
Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time.

Liaising with Service Controller’s and Product Support Managers daily to ensure maximum efficiency.

Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities.
-
Keep customers informed about the status of maintenance activities and any unexpected delays or issues.
About You.
-
Full UK Driving Licence.
-
Previous experience servicing heavy, plant construction machinery or HGV’s.

Proven background as a skilled service mechanic.
-
Excellent reporting skills and show good attention to detail.
-
Experienced in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
-
Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.

Strong attention to detail.
-
Excellent IT skills required with a good ability to analyse fault code data.

Level 3 NVQ Plant Maintenance is preferred
