About this
Garment Tech
Role
As a
Garment Technologist & Pattern Grader
, you will use your technical expertise and creative flair to:

Grade patterns
and create/adapt blocks from scratch.

Work from
customer drawings
to produce production-ready patterns.
-
Convert patterns between CAD systems while maintaining accuracy.
-
Rework historical patterns
and ensure consistency across grading systems.
-
Conduct
customer fit sessions
and provide advice on garment sizing.
-
Collaborate with
design, production, and factory teams
to ensure designs balance creativity with commercial viability.
-
Stay ahead of trends by working at pace to explore
new materials and future opportunities
.
Garment Tech
Key Responsibilities
-
Grading and creating patterns using
CAD software
and
manual techniques
.
-
Translating customer specifications into precise, production-ready patterns.
-
Supporting the
design team
with creative input for drawings and
embellishment designs
(training provided).
-
Ensuring all designs are
fit for purpose
with detailed product documentation.
-
Working closely with the
factory manager
to ensure seamless sample production and garment testing.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a creative mindset. Key skills and qualifications include:

A
degree in a design-related field
(e.g., Fashion, Textiles).

3+ years' experience
in a similar role, ideally in garment technology or design.
-
Strong knowledge of
garment construction
, fit, and function.

Proficiency in
CAD pattern software
and
Adobe Creative Suite
(Illustrator, Photoshop).
-
Ideally experienced with VeitiGraph expert CAD and / or Assyst digital pattern cutting software.
-
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage
multiple projects
in a fast-paced environment.

A

approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
