Our client is a leading construction company specialising in delivering high-quality commercial, residential, and industrial projects. We are currently seeking a Senior Site Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations on large-scale healthcare project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Site Manager , you will be responsible for managing all site activities, ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely delivery of projects. You will be overseeing a team of site managers and supervisors while ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, quality specifications, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of construction site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project progress tracking.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor site managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Ensure clear communication and effective teamwork on-site.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain and enforce strict safety protocols in accordance with regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and is completed in accordance with design specifications.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor and control costs on-site, reporting any variances and taking action to avoid cost overruns.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any queries or issues that may arise during the course of construction.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve issues promptly to avoid project delays, ensuring that construction work continues smoothly.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of the project, including milestones, risks, and challenges.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure they meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager in general construction, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid (or equivalent certifications).
  • Full clean driving license.
