The role:
The Senior Employer’s Agent will provide a professional service to clients, as an Employer’s Agent (EA) under JCT Design and Build Contracts as well as Bespoke Development Agreements. The projects are sited throughout Kent, London, East Sussex and surrounding areas. The role would suit an existing Employer’s Agent, or a Built Environment professional from a QS / PM / BS background looking to move into the role of EA.
What you’ll be doing:

Preparation of the Employer’s Requirements
-
Preparation of robust and accurate tender and contract packages
-
Undertaking various forms of tender process
-
Contract preparation (JCT, and bespoke Development/Build Agreements)
-
Review Contractor/Developer and Designer proposals and ensure that the Employer’s Requirements are fulfilled

Acting as Employer’s Agent, Client Representative, Contract Administrator or Project Manager, for the delivery of the project(s) which will require:

Chairing meetings, taking minutes and following up action plans
-
Actioning site visits to monitor contractor progress
-
Actioning site valuations, analysing contractor applications and issuing Payment Notices
-
Issuing change instructions
-
Analysing project delays and dealing with requests for extensions of time
-
Issuing all contractual notices, statements and certificates
-
Final account management
-
Management of the Defects Liability period
What you’ll need:
Qualifications
-
Full UK Drivers Licence
-
Level 6 qualification in a construction related subject
-
Membership of RICS or CIOB (AssocRics or MCIOB as minimum) OR, minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Knowledge / Experience
-
Experience in UK residential development
-
A comprehensive knowledge of the JCT D&B 2016 and 2024 contract

An understanding of development control and funding/delivery standards within the housing sector
