Your new role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative horticultural and grounds maintenance across the site.
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30
Start Date: 8th June
Pay £12.71- £16.71 p/hr, paid via PAYE or Umbrella. We do not pay CIS.

Duties will include:

• Maintaining grassed areas using tractors, ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, and strimmers
• Carrying out weed control, including spot spraying
• Supporting winter activities such as gritting
• Clearing litter, leaves, and debris, and keeping drains and gullies free from blockages
• Undertaking low-level tree pruning
• Completing reactive maintenance tasks and reporting defects
• Safely disposing of waste materials
• Assisting with porterage, deliveries, and basic handyperson tasks (e.g., painting)
• Maintaining accurate QHSE and site records
• Escorting contractors and visitors when required
• Always adhering to health and safety policies and safe working practices

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role
• Ability to safely operate ground maintenance equipment
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• A reliable and proactive approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
