Job Title: Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor
Location: East Riding of Yorkshire
Contract Type: Interim, 6-months ongoing
Salary: Circa £45 per hour Inside IR35 (Negotiable DOE, if you require a higher rate please still apply)
Our client, a local authority in the East Riding of Yorkshire, is seeking a skilled Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor to provide professional quantity surveying and project management services. In this role, you will ensure clients receive a high-quality service, managing the financial and technical aspects of architectural design and construction projects. You will also play a key role in delivering the Council's Corporate Strategies and property service plans.
Key Responsibilities

Research and compile data on quantity surveying and project management issues to support the formulation of strategic and annualised plans for the property section and the Council's Corporate Strategies.

Deliver all quantity surveying aspects of architectural design and construction projects, ensuring accurate financial evaluation, specification, tendering, and contract control.

Lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to manage portfolios of design and construction projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with corporate goals.

Utilize and manage NEC3 Suite of Contracts for effective project delivery.

Provide professional advice and support to clients, maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications and Skills

Degree or HNC/D qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Relevant and extensive post-qualification experience in quantity surveying and project management.

Working knowledge of the NEC3 Suite of Contracts.

Professional Membership of the Association of Project Management (APM) (desirable)

Recognised project management training qualification (desirable)

Demonstrated experience in professional roles involving quantity surveying and project management.

Proven ability to manage financial and technical aspects of design and construction projects.
