Mobile Duct Fitter’s Mate - Newcastle upon Tyne w/ Working Away & National Travel - HVAC Contractor
CBW Staffing Solutions are working with a well-established company in the HVAC and building services industry, specialising in the installation and maintenance of ventilation systems. As a Duct Fitter's Mate, you will work alongside experienced duct fitters, assisting in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of ductwork systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop hands-on experience and grow within the trade.
This is a permanent position, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear - the successful candidate must be willing to work away from home and travel on a national basis.
Package:
Competitive salary between £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Van & fuel card supplied
Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
Assisting in the installation of ductwork for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
Supporting duct fitters with the preparation of materials, tools, and workspaces
Helping to lift, position, and secure ductwork into place
Ensuring all health and safety standards are followed on-site
Carrying out basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and sealing ductwork under supervision
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Reporting any issues or delays to the duct fitter or site supervisor
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a construction, mechanical, or similar hands-on role (desirable but not essential)
Full UK driving licence
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
The ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
A good level of physical fitness, as this role involves manual handling and working at heights
CSCS card (required or willing to obtain)
A flexible approach to working hours, including possible travel to different sites
