Curriculum Leader – Motor Vehicle

Location: East Lancashire Region

Salary: £44,482 per annum (plus up to £4,000 per annum)

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Permanent | Full Time (52 weeks per year)

Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 7 June 2026

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and student-focused Curriculum Leader in Motor Vehicle to join a Construction & Motor Vehicle team.

The Motor Vehicle department is dynamic, supportive and forward-thinking, with a clear mission: to shape the future workforce of the automotive industry.

This role offers the chance to lead, innovate and make a real impact—developing both curriculum and people, while driving excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team delivering Motor Vehicle provision
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, including internal verification
  • Support curriculum planning, development and delivery
  • Monitor teaching, learning and assessment standards
  • Track and report on student progress, retention and achievement
  • Build and maintain strong employer and stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and organisational policies
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the curriculum

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Level 3 (or above) Motor Vehicle qualification
  • Degree or relevant higher-level/professional qualification (desirable)
  • Experience teaching or training within Motor Vehicle (FE or industry)
  • Experience managing, mentoring or supporting staff
