The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, and will be responsible for compiling detailed cost estimates for products, large and small-scale projects, and bespoke solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for manufacturing products and bespoke customer projects.

Collaborate with the sales, design, and production teams to ensure estimates reflect technical specifications and feasibility.

Analyse customer requirements, drawings, and project scopes to develop tailored proposals.

Identify material, labour, and overhead costs to determine competitive and realistic pricing.

Provide input on pricing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining value for customers.

Build strong relationships with suppliers to obtain accurate costings for materials and services.

Support the sales team in preparing and delivering quotations, proposals, and tender documents.

Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations to ensure estimates remain competitive.

Maintain accurate records of estimates, customer interactions, and project details.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Sales Estimator, preferably in the manufacturing

Strong understanding of cost estimation principles and methods.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
