Digital Construction Manager

Our client is a leading Main Contractor with a strong pipeline in the North West, renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects across various sectors. They are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Digital Construction Manager to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence and enhance the preconstruction and delivery processes through digital transformation.

Position Overview: The Digital Construction Manager will be instrumental in integrating and advancing digital technologies throughout our project lifecycle. This role spans from preconstruction phases through to delivery, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to grow and develop their career within our forward-thinking organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Preconstruction Phase:

  • Lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) from project inception.
  • Develop and manage digital project documentation and workflows.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure digital construction methodologies are integrated effectively.
  • Evaluate and integrate digital tools to enhance preconstruction efficiency and accuracy.

2. Delivery Phase:

  • Oversee the application of digital construction techniques on-site, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure digital solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Monitor and manage digital construction data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on digital tools and processes.

3. General Responsibilities:

  • Champion digital innovation and continuous improvement across all project stages.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to promote and implement digital construction strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to digital construction.
  • Develop and maintain a digital project roadmap, aligned with organisational goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital construction management, with a strong focus on BIM.
  • Proficient in digital construction tools and software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation in construction environments.
