The Fire Consultant's Role

As a Fire Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring fire safety compliance by conducting type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments, developing fire strategies, and providing expert advice on British Standards.

Your responsibilities will include engaging directly with clients, quality monitoring of construction projects, and contributing to the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional fire safety services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments
• Reviewing and developing Fire Risk Assessments and fire strategies
• Performing Fire Door and Compartmentation surveys
• Using Bluebeam software for assessments and documentation
• Preparing documents, policies, and procedures to meet compliance standards
• Staying updated with current fire safety legislation
• Collaborating with clients to provide expert advice and tailored solutions

The Ideal Fire Consultant Will Have

• Inclusion on the FRAR (Fire Risk Assessor Register)
• Proven experience conducting type 1-4 risk assessments
• Expertise in Fire Door and Compartmentation surveys
• Familiarity with Bluebeam software
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and strategy development
• A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving fire safety issues
• A desire to progress within the fire safety and risk assessment industry
