A forward-thinking consultancy in London is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their dynamic and supportive team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor eager to take ownership of high-value projects, manage client relationships, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative practice.
The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor's Role
The Chartered Building Surveyor will lead on a variety of projects, including some of London's most prestigious properties. You will be involved in both professional and project services while playing a pivotal role in developing client relationships and supporting team growth.
You'll manage high-value projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality delivery while mentoring junior surveyors on their APC journey.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver contract administration on projects up to £2,500,000+VAT

Undertake insurance reinstatement projects, planned maintenance surveys, and condition surveys

Design and specify maintenance works and carry out defect investigations and diagnosis

Manage Licence for Alterations, party wall matters, and pre-acquisition surveys

Act as Employer's Agent and provide reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes

Lead and manage team members, including mentoring graduates and assisting with APC training

Build and nurture client relationships, ensuring service excellence

Develop new and repeat business opportunities where possible
The Ideal Chartered Building Surveyor will have

MRICS qualification with significant post-qualification experience

Proven expertise in contract administration and professional surveying services

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proactive, client-focused, and results-driven

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver exceptional service under pressure
