Role : Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location : Gatwick Airport, Sussex
Salary : £60,000 to £80,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading cost and project management consultancy working at Gatwick Airport in Sussex. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of a small yet busy team carrying out a variety of pre and post contract duties on infrastructure and civil engineering projects valued between £5m and £20m.

Key Responsibilities

• Take a lead role on cost estimation, budgets and the procurement process to ensure projects are delivered within financial expectations
• Manage contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with the agreed terms
• Work closely with the site project teams to monitor progress and implement cost effective solutions where required
• Build long lasting, trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders and suppliers

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years experience in Quantity Surveying with a focus on infrastructure projects
• An in depth understanding of the NEC Contract
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
• Working towards chartered status with the RICS or ICES
• Candidates with experience of CEMAR will be at an advantage
