The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical teams across multiple project sites

• Conduct desktop surveys and review mechanical designs

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, drawings, and specifications

• Oversee installation progress and perform quality assurance checks

• Act as the on-site liaison for operatives, subcontractors, and project managers

• Carry out system testing, commissioning, and handovers

• Uphold strict health & safety standards, including toolbox talks and risk assessments

• Support project planning and maintain accurate documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation, or Mechanical Engineering

• Previous experience supervising mechanical or renewables installations

• SSSTS or SMSTS (or willingness to obtain)

• CSCS card and full UK driving licence

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Confident interpreting mechanical schematics and plans

Desirable Extras:

• Experience with MCS-accredited systems

• Heat pump or solar PV qualifications (e.g. BPEC, NICEIC)

• First Aid certification

• Knowledge of retrofit or domestic energy efficiency schemes (ECO4, PAS 2035)
