A self-motivated, passionate Senior / Principal Fire Engineer required to support an expert Fire, Electrical and Mechanical consultancy, to assist the development of their team in the midlands region, based flexibly out of their Liverpool or Manchester office.

The Senior Fire Engineer

The successful senior fire engineer will be able to work autonomously on fire design projects across a variety of sectors.

Projects vary across all sectors, Healthcare, education, commercial, residential.

You will support with senior fire engineering duties from RIBA Stage 2 (concept design) through the entire project lifecycle to handover, giving you access to engaging with clients and building your skillset outside of fire engineering.

The Senior Fire Engineer further responsibilities:

• Fire Engineering Design
• Fire Safety Strategies
• Approved Document B
• Ensuring Fire Compliance
• Fire audits
• Passive fire protection and compartmentation
• Overall building fire strategy formulation
• Stakeholder engagement and client liaison

Other responsibilities may also include:

• Smoke modelling CFD
• Smoke ventilation and control
• Expert witness

The Senior Engineer

• Relevant Degree or Masters in Fire Engineering or related discipline, MEng / MSc
• AIFireE
