Location: Merseyside (Office-based)

Full-time | Permanent | Working Hours - 7am-4pm (Mon-Fri)


About the Role

Our client is seeking a Commercial Administrator to support their commercial and operational teams within the utilities sector. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day administrative and commercial activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in utilities, administration, project support, or coordination who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the commercial function
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers, and internal systems
  • Upload, organise, and manage project documentation
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of commercial paperwork
  • Respond to internal and client queries, directing them where appropriate
  • Monitor shared inboxes and distribute communications accordingly
  • Liaise with operational teams to gather and update project information
  • Ensure all records are maintained accurately and in line with company procedures

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience within the utilities industry
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and Outlook

Desirable:

  • Experience in an administrative, coordinator, or project support role
  • Understanding of utilities operations and project delivery processes
  • Experience working in a fast-paced utilities, construction, or infrastructure environment
