Role: Electrical Supervisor

Location: HMP Leyhill, Gloucester, GL12 8BT

Employment Type: Permanent

Typical Hours: Monday to Friday (Sometimes on call)

As an Electrical Supervisor at HMP Leyhill, open, category D prison, you will oversee the electrical maintenance team, ensuring both planned and reactive works are carried out efficiently.

Working closely with the prison service, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Duties of an Electrical Supervisor Include (but are not limited to):

• Supervising and coordinating the electrical team's workload
• Conducting staff appraisals and providing performance feedback
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Managing tool inventory and maintaining security procedures
• Leading fault-finding investigations and implementing solutions

The successful Electrical Supervisor should possess the following:

• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• BS7671 - 18th Edition qualification
• Minimum of five years' experience in electrical maintenance
• Experience working in commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Strong leadership and organisational skills

Due to the nature of the environment, standard Security Vetting is required.
