Project Design Engineer - South Leicestershire (Hybrid) - 3-6 month contract

They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on a wide array of products and manufacturing processes, translating the needs of Product Management into robust and easily manufacturable designs.

**What You Will Do:**

• Design systems and components for new and updated accessory projects, ensuring functionality, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and quality.
• Produce high-quality 3D CAD models using CREO software and 2D engineering drawings compliant with ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Product Development, Quality, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, to ensure seamless design integration.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to streamline the design and manufacturing process.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements, applying a thorough understanding of motorcycle regulations.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

**What You Will Bring:**

• A Bachelor's Degree with proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Pro-engineer / CREO.
• Experience in motorcycle or automotive engineering.
• Experience in engineering design of components and subassemblies.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including castings, forgings, sheet metal, and injection mouldings.
• Experience in creating and releasing 2D technical drawings to ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
• Practical experience in vehicle maintenance and preparation, with a good understanding of motorcycle chassis layout and construction. (Preferred)
