An independent, family-run multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their Leeds team.

The successful Principal Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risks for a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities of the CDM Principal Designer:

• Lead the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations across multiple projects.
• Provide expert advice on safety regulations and design risk management.
• Oversee the development of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
• Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to ensure risk management is prioritised.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety requirements.

Requirements for the CDM Principal Designer:

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and design risk management.
• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in a senior or leadership role within a consultancy environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
