Groundworker- Parklands School- Leeds

We are currently recruiting for a Groundworker for a civils project in Seacroft, Leeds.

The role will start on Monday 16th of December and will last until Friday 20th of December.

We can pay CIS/Umbrella/ Ltd

Your responsibilities will include:

Site Preparation:

• Setting up safety barriers, signage and fencing around the site.
• Digging trenches for utilities like drainage, water, gas, and electricity.

Foundations and Groundwork:

• Laying foundations, such as strip or raft foundations, for buildings or structures
• Compacting soil and laying sub-base materials to create stable surfaces for construction.
• Setting out and leveling the ground using tools like lasers, spirit levels, and dumpy levels.

Concreting and Surfacing:

• Pouring and finishing concrete for slabs, kerbs, and pathways.
• Laying paving stones, blockwork, or tarmac for roads and footpaths.
• Maintaining high-quality finishes on all surfaces.

• Adhering to strict health and safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE.
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with tasks (e.g., unstable ground).
• Keeping the worksite clean and hazard-free.

What we need:

• Blue CSCS
• Previous experience as a groundworker on civils projects.
